What does a tighter lot change about the dig?
A narrow property decides the machine before anything else does. A standard excavator needs room to swing and somewhere to put what it takes out, and on a tight lot there often isn't a second place for the pile — so we either work in smaller passes with a mini or load and haul as we go, which lands in your quote as haul rather than hours. Spoil also has to sit at least 60 centimetres back from the edge of the cut, and that setback competes with the driveway, the fence line and wherever the truck needs to park. We work out where the pile can safely sit while we're on site, because if it can't stay on the property at all, disposal moves the number more than the digging does.
